He studied with his father and was known for speaking the truth; he was put to death by the Khaqan at Bukhara.

تفقه على أبيه وسمع مع أبيه كتاب العالم والمتعلم على أبي يعقوب يوسف بن منصور السياري وكان قوالا بالحق قتله الخاقان سنة إحدى وستين وأربعمائة.
